 Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and committed Home Economics Teacher to teach Junior High School (JHS 1–3) in accordance with the Ghana Education Service (GES) standards and NaCCA curriculum. The successful candidate will support students in acquiring practical skills in food and nutrition, clothing and textiles, and home management.
Key Responsibilities
*Plan and deliver lessons based on the NaCCA curriculum for JHS
*Prepare lesson plans, scheme of learning, and teaching/learning materials
*Conduct practical lessons in food preparation, hygiene, and home management
*Assess students using both continuous assessment and examinations (as per GES guidelines)
*Maintain proper records (lesson notes, attendance, assessment records)
*Ensure discipline and proper classroom management in line with school policies
*Participate in staff meetings, PTA meetings, and school activities
 Requirements
– Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Home Economics or related field)
– Minimum of one (1) year teaching experience at the basic level (JHS preferred)
– Knowledge of GES/NaCCA curriculum and assessment structure
– Strong classroom management and communication skills
– Ability to handle practical-based teaching effectively

. Possession of a valid teaching license
. Experience preparing students for BECE
